During this period of global recession, Canadians can rest assured their Government will continue to deliver the strong leadership we need to see Canada through the crisis and ensure we emerge stronger than ever.  And we will not lose sight of our other ongoing priorities, including cracking down on crime, strengthening our federation, balancing environmental protection with economic development, enhancing our position on the world stage, and rebuilding our Canadian Forces.
