Bilateral with Brazilian President Lula

Prime Minister Harper met with President Lula during the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington. They exchanged views on how best to address global economic challenges at the Toronto G-20 Summit. They agreed on the need to implement commitments made at earlier Summits, in particular on financial sector reform and the framework for sustained and balanced growth. They also discussed bilateral relations and agreed to intensify efforts to increase bilateral trade and investment.
