Prime Minister Stephen Harper spoke this afternoon to British Prime Minister David Cameron. The two leaders focussed on the rapidly-evolving situation in Libya, where Canada and the UK are both key members of the UN-mandated, NATO-led mission to protect civilians. They expressed their satisfaction that the Gaddafi regime is collapsing. Both leaders reiterated their support for the National Transitional Council and discussed the importance of ensuring law and order, and a smooth, just and effective transition to a democratic Libya.
