“Canada condemns this planned attack on the Saudi Ambassador, on U.S. soil, which the U.S. Attorney General alleged was conceived, sponsored and directed by Iran.“It is a grim reminder of the need for continual vigilance against terrorist activity.
“Such acts must also strengthen our collective resolve to never let terrorists succeed in fracturing the alliances that weaken their networks and limit their reach.
“Finally, Canada congratulates the law enforcement and intelligence officers that were instrumental in foiling this heinous plot.”
