Prime Minister Harper speaks with Mexican President Felipe Calderon

Prime Minister Harper spoke this evening with Mexican President Felipe Calderon.  The two leaders exchanged views on the upcoming G-20 Summit in Cannes and the need for concrete actions on the part of G-20 members to help ensure global economic stability and growth.  

Both leaders joined with other leaders on September 22 to send an open letter to President Sarkozy of France, Chair of the Cannes Summit.  On their call, the two Leaders took the time to update on the economic outlook in their respective countries.  

Prime Minister Harper emphasized that Canada is doing its part to meet its Toronto G-20 Summit deficit reduction commitments and to create jobs for Canadians.
