Prime Minister Stephen Harper met today with David Alward, Premier of New Brunswick

The Prime Minister and the Premier discussed the fragile global economic recovery and its impact on the Canadian economy. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of concluding an ambitious Canada-EU trade agreement.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the federal government's actions with respect to job creation and reiterated the government's commitment to keep taxes low.

The two leaders also discussed recent changes to the EI program and the Point Lepreau refurbishment.
