Statement by the Prime Minister of Canada on the election of Greg Selinger as the Premier of Manitoba

Prime Minister Stephen Harper today issued the following statement on the results of the Manitoba election:
“On October 4, 2011, the people of Manitoba gave Premier Greg Selinger a mandate to continue to serve as the head of Manitoba’s provincial government. I congratulate the Premier and his team on their victory.
“I look forward to continuing to work with him on promoting prosperity in the province and country and on addressing issues of importance to Manitobans and all Canadians.”
