8:00 a.m. – Prime Minister Stephen Harper will attend and make brief remarks at the airport arrival of the Olympic Flame.

Media are required to present proper identification and press credentials to gain access.
Media registration is required to attend the airport arrival. No registrations will be accepted after 6:45 a.m.
A media registration tent will be set up at the main gate to the hangar and open at 6:00 a.m.
Satellite trucks must arrive between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Any satellite trucks arriving after 6:00 a.m. will not be given access to the event.

9:20 a.m. – Prime Minister Stephen Harper will attend and make brief remarks at the Victoria Parliament Buildings Arrival Ceremony. The Ceremony is the beginning of the 106-day, 45,000-kilometre Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay.

NOTE:
All media must register with VANOC. To register and pick up a media pass for the arrival ceremony and all subsequent Day 1 events, members of the media must show photo ID and press credentials on October 29 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Fairmont Empress Hotel (Buckingham room) located at 721 Government St. in Victoria, BC. Registration will also be available on October 30 starting at 7:00 a.m. at the media tent at the corner of Government and Belleville streets.
