Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met today with Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany on the margins of the G20 Summit in Turkey.

Chancellor Merkel congratulated Prime Minister Trudeau on his election victory.

The two leaders reaffirmed the strong and multi-faceted ties that exist between their countries.  They discussed a broad range of bilateral and international issues including trade, the global economy, migration, climate change and the situation in Ukraine, and the middle east.
