Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke today with Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany.

Prime Minister Trudeau offered his condolences for the innocent victims who were killed or injured on December 19 as a result of the terrorist attack targeting civilians in a Christmas Market in the Breitscheidplatz area of Berlin, Germany. 

The Prime Minister reiterated Canada’s offer of support to Germany during this difficult period.  The two leaders agreed to continue cooperation and to work in solidarity to fight the threat of terrorism.
