Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke today with Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany.

The two leaders reaffirmed the strong and multifaceted ties that exist between their countries.  They discussed bilateral and international issues including the global economy, migration, and international security.

They undertook to continue working together to advance our shared interests, including the timely ratification of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

The leaders agreed to meet at the earliest possible opportunity.
