Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met today in Montréal with Irish Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Enda Kenny.
The leaders discussed enhancing bilateral relations by leveraging the strong historic, cultural and people-to-people ties that exist between Canada and Ireland. The two held exchanges on pressing international issues, including the important partnership between the two countries through multilateral organizations.
Prime Minister Trudeau and Taoiseach Kenny also discussed strengthening commercial ties, particularly through the timely ratification of the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
