Prime Minister Trudeau expressed his deepest condolences to the grieving families and friends of the victims of last week’s mass shooting, and all Nova Scotians, during this very difficult time. He noted that all Canadians have the people of Nova Scotia in their thoughts, and offered his support to Premier McNeil. Both leaders recognized the efforts of the RCMP and other members of the ongoing investigation.
