Prime Minister Trudeau thanked Prime Minister Albanese for Australia’s support to Canada in battling the wildfires and underscored the importance of taking action on climate change.
Prime Minister Trudeau highlighted Canada’s commitment to working with Australia to ensure a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific region, while underscoring Australia’s role as a close partner and ally.
The prime ministers highlighted the importance of building stable, resilient, and responsible critical mineral supply chains and cooperating on priorities such as climate change, energy security, economic growth for all, and ongoing support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s illegal and unjustified war.
Prime Minister Trudeau and Prime Minister Albanese agreed to meet again at the G20 Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi, India.
