Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met today with Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament, on the margins of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting.

They underscored the strong partnership between Canada and the European Union and affirmed their desire to further strengthen the relationship.

They also reiterated their commitment to bringing the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) into force in a timely manner to the mutual benefit of both Canada and the European Union.
