Hello everyone. This has been a very successful Commonwealth meeting for Canada here in Malta. It has been a great opportunity to exchange with many countries that we do not necessarily see on a regular basis. It has also been a tremendous preparation for the meeting in Paris in two days.

This was a very successful Commonwealth…my most successful Commonwealth meeting ever.

A great opportunity to meet with and get to know and exchange with a broad range of leaders from all different types of countries and backgrounds.  An opportunity to engage as well on large issues of trade and human rights, terrorism and security, but also a tremendous preparation for the COP 21 conference in two days in Paris, and we’re pleased to have a chief consensus around a very strong statement around climate change that really shows a desire by the world to engage substantively on climate change.
