The Honourable Martine St-Louis was appointed to the Federal Court in 2014 and the Court Martial Appeal Court of Canada in 2015.
Associate Chief Justice St-Louis began her career at Québecor Inc. and then practised with Ogilvy Renault LLP (now Norton Rose Fulbright) from 1991 to 2000, with Heenan Blaikie LLP from 2000 to 2001, and with McCarthy Tétrault LLP from 2001 until her appointment to the Bench. She practised mainly in the fields of immigration, administration, labour, and constitutional law. She was appointed Chairperson of the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Tribunal in 2016.
Associate Chief Justice St-Louis has actively participated in many professional organizations prior to her appointment, including the Canadian Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and the Association québécoise des avocats et avocates en droit de l’immigration.
Associate Chief Justice St-Louis received a Bachelor of Laws from the Université de Montréal in 1987 and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1988.
