Assalamualaikum.

Today, Muslims in Canada and around the world will celebrate Eid al-Fitr and mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, a month of fasting, spiritual reflection, and service to those less fortunate.

As Prime Minister, I’ve gotten to see the generosity of the Muslim community firsthand, both during Ramadan and throughout the year, whether it’s volunteering at a local food bank or supporting a local charity.

As we celebrate the end of Ramadan, let’s continue to put those shared values into practice and build a better Canada for everyone.
