Annie Koutrakis was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Vimy in 2019. She previously served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Transport.
Ms. Koutrakis has been a strong advocate for her community, including as a member of the Standing Committee on Finance and of various parliamentary associations and interparliamentary groups.
Ms. Koutrakis was born in Montréal and has lived in Laval for many years. Prior to entering politics, she worked in the investment industry for three decades, most recently as Vice-President, Branch Manager, Advisor Services, at Raymond James Ltd.
A firm believer in giving back, Ms. Koutrakis has volunteered for a number of community organizations. She is the former President of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montréal – making her the first woman to hold this position in the organization’s century-long history. She has also served on the boards of CLSC Norman-Bethune (now CLSC du Ruisseau-Papineau), Hellenic Social Services of Québec, and the Hellenic Board of Trade of Montréal.
Ms. Koutrakis holds a diploma in Social Sciences and Business Administration from Dawson College. She speaks French, English, and Greek. She and her husband, Gerry, are the proud parents of four adult children.
