Larry Bagnell served as the Member of Parliament for Yukon from 2000 to 2011, and was re-elected in 2015 and 2019.
Mr. Bagnell is widely regarded as a dedicated, respectful, and hard-working Member of Parliament. In an annual survey of parliamentarians, his peers selected him multiple times as the hardest-working Member of Parliament in Canada.
Mr. Bagnell’s dedication to Yukon began long before his time as a Member of Parliament. In 1999, he was recognized with the City of Whitehorse Volunteer of the Year Award for his long record of community service, including as President of the Yukon chapter of the United Way, President of Yukon Learn Society, and President of the Skookum Jim Friendship Centre.
Mr. Bagnell also served on the Boards of Directors for the Miles Canyon Historic Railway Society, the Yukon Science Institute, and the Commissioner’s Potlatch.
