
Maninder Sidhu was first elected as Member of Parliament for Brampton East in 2019.
Mr. Sidhu has served as a member of the Standing Committee on Natural Resources and the Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities. He is also an active member of several parliamentary associations and interparliamentary groups, including the Canada-Africa Parliamentary Association, the Canada-Europe Parliamentary Association, and the Canadian Section of ParlAmericas.
After graduating from the University of Waterloo, Mr. Sidhu built a successful customs brokerage business. He is the founder of The Kindness Movement Charity, which supports economically disadvantaged school children in India and Canada. He also mentors aspiring young entrepreneurs in his community.
Mr. Sidhu lives with his wife and children in Brampton, which he has called home for the past 30 years.
