Richard Hébert was elected Member of Parliament for Lac-Saint-Jean in 2017. He is a dedicated community leader who has a wealth of public service experience, and who also served as Mayor of Dolbeau-Mistassini from 2013 to 2017.
Mr. Hébert holds a bachelor’s degree in cultural leadership from the Université du Québec à Montréal. He also worked in his family’s funeral home business and in ambulance services.
He was the President of the Corporation des thanatologues du Québec from 2004 to 2007 and served as the Quebec representative for the Funeral Service Association of Canada from 2008 to 2013.
Mr. Hébert was born and raised in Dolbeau, Lac-Saint-Jean, where he started a family with his wife Andrée-Anne.
He is currently Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion.
