Will Amos
Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry (Science)

Will Amos was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Pontiac in 2015.

An environmental lawyer, Mr. Amos has been involved in law and policy matters related to energy, climate, and environment for 20 years.

Mr. Amos completed an undergraduate degree in Arts and Science at McMaster University and a Masters in Political Science at the University of British Columbia. He returned to McGill University to complete civil and common law degrees, and was later called to the bar in both Quebec and Ontario.

After practising law in the private sector and at the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, Mr. Amos joined the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa, where he served as Director of the Environmental Law Clinic.

Prior to his election in 2015, Mr. Amos litigated public interest cases as staff lawyer for a national environmental law charity, including before the Supreme Court of Canada. He also taught law and science students at the University of Ottawa, and was a regular guest commentator in the national media.

Active in the community, Mr. Amos has served on the board of directors of the Chelsea Foundation and Sierra Club Canada, and volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada and for Santropol Roulant.

Mr. Amos grew up in Ottawa and moved to Chelsea in 2005 where he lives with his wife and two children.
