Prime Minister Trudeau delivers a message to mark the Mid-Autumn Festival
Hello everyone.
I am delighted to join Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese communities to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. Tonight, friends and families will gather to give thanks for the harvest and the year's successes. A full moon will shine over the festivities, symbolizing unity and prosperity. As we light lanterns and eat mooncakes, we're reminded of Canada's rich diversity. Our country is prosperous and strong because we celebrate and find unity in our differences.
Tonight is a time to honour the many communities who celebrate this occasion and who make Canada such a wonderful place to live.
On behalf of our family, Sophie and I wish everyone celebrating a happy Mid-Autumn Festival.
