Today marks five years since our government introduced the Canada Child Benefit, which gives more money to families who need it the most.

Since its implementation in 2016, the CCB has made life easier and more affordable for moms and dads across the country.

This tax-free support has helped families pay for things like food, clothes, and activities for kids.

But this program is about more than just putting hundreds of dollars into people’s pockets each month.

It’s about building a country that is a fairer and more equal place to live. 

In the five years that it has been in place, the CCB has helped lift nearly 435,000 kids out of poverty.

And for some parents, this benefit means not having to choose between paying bills or putting food on the table.

That’s what the CCB is all about.

And as we work together towards recovery, we will continue to be there for families to make sure that their kids have the very best start in life.
