Prime Minister Trudeau's message on Easter
Hello everyone, and happy Easter!
Today, my family is joining Christians in Canada and around the world to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Easter is the most important time for Christians.
It’s a time to reflect on the values of sacrifice and hope.
It’s a time to forgive one another and focus on renewal.
And after two difficult years with COVID-19, this Easter will be special.
That’s because many of us will be coming together again – to attend church in person, organize Easter egg hunts for the kids, and share a special meal with family and friends.
And as we reflect on Jesus’ message of compassion, many of us are asking what more we can do to spread kindness and make our world a better one.
So this Easter, let’s give thanks for our many blessings, and let us recommit ourselves to being there for one another.
On behalf of our family, Sophie and I wish everyone celebrating a very happy Easter.
