Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke today with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. 

Prime Minister Trudeau and Secretary-General Ban discussed the importance of building momentum towards the entry into force of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. The Prime Minister assured the Secretary-General of Canada’s commitment to this effort.

The Secretary-General welcomed Canada’s renewed engagement in the United Nations system. The Prime Minister and the Secretary-General looked forward to working together on shared priorities at various upcoming international meetings.
