The Prime Minister announces changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced the following changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service:

Nathalie G. Drouin, currently Senior Associate Deputy Minister of Justice, becomes Deputy Minister of Justice and Deputy Attorney General of Canada, effective June 26, 2017.

Peter Boehm, currently Deputy Minister of International Development, becomes Deputy Minister for the G7 Summit and Personal Representative of the Prime Minister, effective July 31, 2017.

Diane Jacovella, currently Associate Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, becomes Deputy Minister of International Development, effective July 31, 2017.

Vincent Rigby, currently Assistant Deputy Minister of Strategic Policy, Global Affairs Canada, becomes Associate Deputy Minister of Public Safety, effective July 17, 2017.

The Prime Minister took the opportunity to recognize William F. Pentney for his exceptional service as Deputy Minister of Justice and Deputy Attorney General of Canada and to congratulate him on his recent judicial appointment.
