The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced the following change in the senior ranks of the Public Service:

Greta Bossenmaier, currently Chief of the Communications Security Establishment, becomes National Security and Intelligence Advisor to the Prime Minister, effective May 23, 2018.

The Prime Minister took the opportunity to congratulate Daniel Jean, National Security and Intelligence Advisor to the Prime Minister, on the occasion of his upcoming retirement from the Public Service following an exceptional career. Mr. Jean has served Canadians with dedication, integrity, and excellence over the past 35 years, including in senior roles such as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Minister of Canadian Heritage.
