Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with the Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven.

Prime Minister Trudeau and Prime Minister Löfven discussed the importance of NATO cooperation and rules-based trade, and reinforced the transatlantic bond. They also noted Canada and Sweden's priority of promoting gender equality and women's empowerment.

They further underscored their mutual commitment to expanding Canada and Sweden's trade relationship and to en‎couraging innovation to build prosperity and opportunity.
