Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke today with President Joko Widodo of Indonesia.  

Prime Minister Trudeau offered condolences for those that were killed, injured and displaced in the earthquake and tsunami that struck the island of Sulawesi on September 28th. The Prime Minister offered continued assistance from Canada for humanitarian relief efforts for the victims of the disaster. On October 2nd, Canada announced $1.5 million in support of immediate needs and basic services in Sulawesi. 

Both leaders said they looked forward to seeing each other at upcoming Summit-level meetings, to continue their cooperation on regional security and other issues of shared priority.
