Prime Minister Trudeau expressed his condolences for the Bangladeshis and all Muslims who lost their lives or who were affected by the tragic mosque attacks in New Zealand, conveying his commitment to confront Islamophobia everywhere. The two leaders reaffirmed the need to promote and to protect diversity in order to build a more peaceful and secure world. They committed to working together in addressing the shared priority of countering terrorism and violent extremism.
