The Prime Minister spoke today with Brad Smith, President at Microsoft Corporation, on the topic of eliminating terrorist and violent extremist content online, in advance of the Christchurch Call to Action meeting of government and industry leaders to be held in Paris on May 15. They discussed ways that governments could work closely with industry, especially social media platforms, to stop the internet being used as a tool to organize and promote terrorism and violent extremism. They agreed to stay in close touch and to work together on promoting trust in the digital world.
